Yarn for May Socks and Plain Vanilla Socks
I've chosen the yarn for the May socks, a lovely, soft purple Koigu (#2235), reminiscent of lilacs. I am still looking for just the right stitch pattern, but I have chosen the name for the socks: Lilacs in My Garden.
I also want to get back to knitting preemie items for Doernbecher Hospital. I've spent most of my knitting time on socks lately and have neglected making little hats and booties. Here is the link to my blog for these projects: Knitting for Peace.

April Socks Finished!
Yes, I have finished the April socks and I am now caught up. I am so happy! I started the second sock Saturday morning and completed it this evening. I am astonished I was able to knit a sock in just two days and I didn't just knit either. I went to town on Saturday morning with John and, as I was driving, that meant no knitting time for me. I did the usual laundry, cooking, baking, and housekeeping and went to church this morning. Daylight is gone so I will put up a photo of the April socks tomorrow morning.

March Socks Done!
I am slowly catching up with my personal sock-of-the month goals. Here are March's socks, done in plain stockinette, which were utterly boring to knit.
Pattern: Plain pattern using fingering weight yarn
Yarn: Poison Ivy Green/Etsy-Black Trillium/75% superwash merino wool/25% nylon.
100g/437 yards
Needles: 2.5mm dpns
I am now working on the foot of the first sock for April using a pattern stitch called bit of lace. I hope to finish the April socks before the end of the month.

Scrap Socks
Do you have bits and pieces of leftover sock yarn? I do. So I was very happy to find this Scrap Socks KAL. I was also happy to find this link which provides illustrated lessons on how to knit a sock, toe-up, something I've not yet tried to do.
